Fundraising

Since I was invited to participate in the program in February, I sent out letters to various organizations soliciting donations to help send me to Berlin.  I received few replies, but I've been lucky to have a fantastic, supportive group of friends and family who are, so far, helping to make this trip happen.  The fundraising I've done--and will continue to do--will go towards covering the cost of the trip itself ($700) and airfare (outrageously, ridiculously, almost offensively expensive...seriously, it's ridiculous).

If you know of any people or organizations who provide assistance for opportunities like this, please feel free to send them the link to this blog, or to put them in contact with me.

Originally, I had planned to set up a Kickstarter-type fundraising page, but I didn't like the parameters of the site, and a bunch of people suggested a PayPal account link.  So here's that:

The link requests a shipping address--that's so I can send a thank you note or postcard!

Special huge thank you hugs go out to the following people:

Meg McGrath and Megan Prock
Rabbi Daniel Liben
Rabbi Marc Jagolinzer
the Temple Israel Brotherhood
Ron and Judy Lane
